Sol Mamakwa is working to strengthen Ontario by standing up for Indigenous rights, improving health care in the North, and fighting for economic justice in remote and underserved communities.

Sol was born in the Sioux Lookout Zone Hospital and raised in Kingfisher Lake First Nation, where he continues to speak the language and engage in traditional practices. As MPP for Kiiwetinoong and Deputy Leader of the Official Opposition, he brings deep community knowledge and advocacy to Queen’s Park.
